Cabinet, parliament are responsible for inefficient work with IMF, says Ukrainian speaker

Yalta, June 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn has said that both the government and parliament are responsible for inefficient work with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

"Everyone is responsible – both the government and Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada," he told the press in Yalta on Saturday, commenting on the discussion between the leadership of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) and the cabinet on the effectiveness of Ukraine's work with the IMF.

The speaker said that any discussion will trigger Ukraine's work with the IMF. Lytvyn also said that Ukraine had signed a memorandum with the fund, so it is to be observed, otherwise it would be difficult to find people who would like to cooperate with Ukraine and work in the country.
